MIRS asks Tuesday night, "Can Meekhof Get 20 GOP Votes For Gas Tax Hike?"

 

"Senate Majority Leader Arlan MEEKHOF (R-West Olive) told his 27 GOP Senate colleagues confidently today that he had the votes on his Government Operations Committee to move his Senate Republicans' road package, which includes a roughly $700-$800 million gas tax increase."

 

One would hope not!

 

The Senate is rumored to be close to voting today or tomorrow on the issue...
