Mary Whiteford Announces Human Trafficking Conference In Holland

The likely next State Rep. for the 80th District is keeping busy ahead of the upcoming March 8th special election.

Mary Whiteford, the Republican nominee in the race to replace Cindy Gamrat, has announced an upcoming conference in Holland regarding human trafficking. Whiteford heads the Ottawa Allegan County Human Trafficking Task Force.

The event takes place January 30th from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Lunch is provided, and guests will hear from speakers, participate in breakout sessions, and discuss multiple facets of human trafficking policy issues throughout the day...

"This community event is designed to bring awareness and education to the growing issue of human trafficking. The day will consist of presentations and break out sessions led by leading experts in our community, as well as the state of Michigan.

Presenters will include Senator Judy Emmons, SSA Michael Glennon (FBI), D./Sgt. Edward Prince (MSP), Dr. Kristen Lawrence, Capt. Jack Dykstra (HPD), Kelly Carter, and John Lazet from the State's Attorney General's Office.

Breakout sessions options include: Education, Faith, Medical, and Law Enforcement.
Come and learn. Become part of a movement to eliminate human trafficking in our community.

This event is FREE. Lunch will be provided. Pre-registration is required.

This community event is organized by the Ottawa Allegan County Human Trafficking Task Force.
